Biosecurity

Biosecurity is about managing animal and plant health, and the risks and impacts of animal and plant pests and diseases, weeds, pest animals, marine pests and contaminants.

Exhibitors bringing animals, plants or soil onto the showgrounds have a responsibility under the Biosecurity Act 2014, to ensure their exhibits are free from diseases and pests, and to report any biosecurity concerns to the section Chief Steward.

Animals being brought onto the Showgrounds must be accompanied by the appropriate paperwork, including a waybill or other livestock movement record, and an animal health declaration.

(The Cattle Livestock Movement Record below can be used for cattle, sheep, goats, bison, buffalo, alpacas and llamas.)
